An Easter chick card

My post for today over on Bubbly Scrumptious is a little Easter chick card using Madeline papers by Prima, and you can see more about it HERE.

This is going to be my last post on there for now, as I've asked to step down from the design team due to family stuff. I want to thank Caroline for the fantastic opportunity she gave me when she asked me to be part of this fantastic design team. I have been truly amazed to have been able to place my work next to the amazing creations of the talented ladies on there. I have learnt so much over the past year and it was a fantastic introduction to blogging. I've also been able to play with some lovely craft materials from Bubbly Funk.

Crafty cards

A couple of cards from me today. The top one is for my friend and her new baby girl using Cosmo Cricket's "Material Girl" papers. The one below is a simple thank you card made with Prima loveliness :) .

Ballerina Frills

I've been feeling inspired after trying out the water distressing technique to make flowers (see here) and I was wondering what else I could make, so I've had go at making some water-distressed frills and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

I started out by cutting a 2cm strip from double sided patterned paper and folding it down the middle.

I sprayed it with the water bottle on both sides and then crumpled it up and left it to dry.

I put a line of strong double-sided tape on my page and crumpled the frill onto it as I stuck it down.

I'm wondering what else I can water-distress now?

Fun with Fabric album

I've finally finished my 6 x canvas album from Donna Downey's "Fun with Fabric" class from the end of last year. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out and I got to play with some of my new stamps from Crafty Individuals. In this project I learnt to use bold stamps when stamping on canvas as some of the stamps with beautiful details just didn't show up that well.

Here are my pages...

Tone on Tone

I've recently decided that I like my scrapbook pages to have texture and maybe in the past there were pages I didn't quite like and weren't sure why, but now I think it was because they were a bit flat. I wanted to have a go at this month's "Build-A-Page" sketch challenge on the Prima Blog and so I used that sketch and made a tone-on-tone page to highlight the textures, using my favourite photo I took of the ginger one over Christmas.

There's a felt gate and a canvas heart...

and lots Prima Craftable flowers with some pearl centres...
and some wide satin ribbon and chipboard letters, with lots of Antique Linen Distress Ink to add depth.

Sisters

I had a go at January's "Build-A-Page" sketch challenge on the Prima blog and here's my version of the sketch. I'm very pleased to say that they liked it at Prima too and so it appears on their blog here - yay!
If you'd like to see more about it, it's my Bubbly Scrumptious post for today HERE.

Paper Stars

This week's post over on Bubbly Scrumptious includes a link I found on Youtube about how to make these paper stars. They are really easy and can be made with any square scraps of double sided patterned paper. To see more click here.
